May if the month dedicated to our “Blessed Mother Mary”. Devotion to Mary is as old as the Church itself. We meet Mary in the pages of the Sacred Scriptures when the Angel told her that she was to become the Mother of the Son of God. What better time to honor our heavenly Mother by praying the rosary with family and friends. Decide today to recite the Rosary every day during this beautiful month and you will see that you will never end a day without saying the Rosary. During May we will recite the rosary every morning and evening before Mass. The family that prays together, stays together. A promise of Mary: I have obtained from my Devine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and hour of death.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! This weekend we take the opportunity to wish you, our dear mothers, God’s special blessings of love and peace. May you rejoice in the love of those whose lives you have shaped through labour, tears, joys and hopes. May you be strengthened by God’s presence in your journey and may you be, in turn, a source of strength to those who turn to you for comfort. May God lead you safely through life’s path.
On Saturday, April 28, 2012 Bishop Henry attended Our Lady of Grace to give the Sacrament of Confirmation to a group of our young people and adults! His message resonates “You are Special” …Please pray for all those who received the fullness of the Holy Spirit so that they may be witnesses to the love of God in our community. On Sunday, April 22nd, our Italian community celebrated the Feast of St. Francis of Paola. Everyone, not just Calabresi, came out to honour this great saint who touched the hearts of many people. Attendance was high as we celebrated a solemn mass which was followed by a procession outside with the statue of the saint. Always an incredible experience to witness, the procession wound its way outside the front doors and into the downstairs hall where we continued to celebrate this great feast day! In Our Lady of Grace Italian/English Catholic Church, there exist beautiful pieces of Italian heritage that are displayed in the form of art. The artwork in the church, represent stories of the life of Christ, which is of significant religious and cultural value to the parishioners. The two world-renowned Italian artists responsible for these artworks are Antonio Caruso and Trento Longaretti. … con’t …
