Is Alpha Right for You? IT WAS RIGHT FOR US!
Alpha came to a close last month with our Celebration Dinner! We shared our Alpha experiences with one another, welcomed guests who joined us for our final meal together and now we’re all looking forward to “Philippians” beginning in the fall.

If you answer “yes” to one or more of the following questions:
- Do you feel as if “something” is missing from your life?
- Do you feel broken or lost?
- Do you wonder what happens when we die?
- Do you feel as if you are just going through the routine mechanics of being a Christian?

- Are you new to a church or parish and want to develop meaningful relationships?
- Do you find it difficult to answer your children’s questions about God?
- Are you newly married?
- Are you going through life with a grade school understanding of your faith?
- Has your faith become “dry” or boring?
- Are you active in the church and want to have a deeper relationship with Jesus?
- Do you question the relevance of Jesus to our lives today?
- Are you one that goes to Church only at Christmas or Easter Seasons?
Then perhaps attending an Alpha Course will help you to find the answer to these questions.
The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The course includes ten meals and an amazing weekend getaway or full day retreat that comes halfway through the 10-week course. Alpha has become a worldwide phenomenon, now in 164 countries, where millions of people have come to explore the meaning of life.
Last year parishioners met weekly and enjoyed great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Each session began with a meal — a chance to get to know others in our small group. There was a video presentation narrated by Nicky Gumbel which examined a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This was followed by a time of discussion in our small groups, where everyone was welcome to contribute their opinion, ask questions and discuss with the rest of the group. No question about life and God was too simple or too hostile… questions like: Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
