What Is Children’s Liturgy? – During the 11:00 am Sunday Mass, children from our parish are invited to gather in the upper hall to listen to a simplified Liturgy of the Word more appropriate to their level of understanding. After the Liturgy of the Word, the children work on an activity with their teachers, and then re-join their parents and the rest of the congregation in celebrating the remainder of the mass.
All children are welcome between the ages of 3-12 years old. Older children, 13 and up are also welcome to attend the Liturgy and help out with the younger students. If you are interested in becoming a Children’s Liturgy Leader please contact Teresa Parrotta at teresa.mancuso@cssd.ab.ca. No teaching experience required! Time commitment is approximately one Sunday per month, with a teaching partner!
