Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.  For more information about our local chapter, please leave a message at the parish office.

Our Lady of Grace Council 12419: Fr. Valentino Alberton Assembly 3225 – by Sal Ficaccio, District Deputy 26 (Alberta/NW Territories)/Charter Faithful Navigator for Fr. Valentino Alberton Assembly

”Our Lady of Grace Council 12419 was inaugurated on March 27, 1999. The foundation to this council was started in mid 1998.  The day that I approached Fr. Valentino Alberton, our parish pastor, to see if he would like to have a Knights of Columbus council at his parish, he was very surprised and stated “I have served a parish in North Haven Connecticut one block away from the Knights of Columbus headquarters, but no one ever approached me to be a Knight.”  From that point on we worked together, first Fr. Valentino becoming a knight himself and then formed the council with 36 members. On March 27, 1999, the anniversary of Fr. Valentino’s ordination, the charter was presented and the council named “Our Lady of Grace Council 12419” was on its way of accomplishing many tasks.

Our Council has achieved numerous milestones in the many activities such as volunteering at pancake breakfasts, Song for Rachel, St. Mary College, improvement to the Church, clearing and cleaning outside of the Church premises, Ministries, family gathering and helping our priests. The great work of these Brother Knights, in fostering family, charity, fraternity never ends.

In 2009 Fr. Ugo Sturabotti asked if we could have an Assembly formed at our parish. Fr. Ugo became a Fourth Degree Knight on January 27, 2010 and paved the way for the new Assembly. With the help of Grand Knight Nicola Labrocca and a few Knights from St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish a group of 32 Knights joined together to form the new Assembly at Our Lady of Grace. The Fourth Degree Assembly 3225 was formed and named in honour of Fr, Valentino Alberton,  The charter was received on April 01, 2010.

The membership of our council keeps growing, already reaching 100 members. The vision of our Founder Fr. Michael J. McGivney is to have every Catholic male join the Knights so we are always looking for new members. The Council meets every Third Tuesday of the month and new members are always welcome.”
